MY OFFER

With empathy, competence and clarity – I have been working in responsible positions in the healthcare sector for almost two decades, mainly internationally. Since I started my professional career, I have been fascinated by how newly developed solutions, projects and commitment contribute to improving the situation of many sick people.

I was often faced with important questions and decisions – and have moved forward through informative and insightful learning and supportive coaching. These ‘signposts’ have helped me to follow my path and master difficult situations – and to do so with great joy. I hear from many managers and experts that they, too, want ‘more’: more knowledge and skills, more support, more joy. I shall be happy to support you on this journey.

Moving forward with joy – I will accompany you on this path, either individually or as a team.

Moving forward with joy – we want to achieve more together – to know more, communicate more and have more fun.

Moving forward with joy – we are happy to break new ground together: through innovative methods, interactive tasks and unusual locations.

International expertise.

I have been working internationally for over 20 years, mainly in Asia. I gained my first on-site experience during my studies as part of an internship at a German medical technology company.

Life in booming Vietnam at the beginning of the new millennium fascinated me from day one – in bustling Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) as well as in small villages in the province. As a tenant with a Vietnamese family and with local colleagues, I led a very local lifestyle: in my private life, I slurped noodle soup on the roadside. Professionally, I had the moving experience of visiting hospitals and clinics across the country – often as the first Western foreigner the people had ever encountered.

With this sensitivity to intercultural differences, I enthusiastically accepted the offer to write my thesis on ‘Intercultural competence in the promotion of young talent using the example of Siemens – analysis of the stay of Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese and Indonesian scholarship holders in Germany’.

Later on after my graduation, as part of the Heinz Nixdorf Scholarship for Young Leaders, I was able to return to Vietnam (this time to Hanoi) and spend several months learning Vietnamese full-time. During the practical part of this scholarship (and the international travel included herein) I discovered my great love: Myanmar (Burma).

For almost three years, I managed the establishment of a representative office of a German medical technology company in Yangon (Rangoon). Military dictatorship and bloody protests, the devastating Cyclone Nargis, and severe poverty could not diminish my love for this country and its people. To this day, I still have close ties to Myanmar – and hope that dictatorship and civil war will one day be overcome and that peace and prosperity will develop sustainably.

In total, I spent more than 10 years on site and in projects in Asia. In addition to Vietnam and Myanmar, I also spent a considerable amount of time working successfully in India and Thailand.

After that, I worked in a global role and collaborated with international teams e.g. in the United States, Europe, Australia, and the Middle East.

During the Covid pandemic, a new window opened up for me: I had the opportunity to work in development cooperation and manage projects in the public health sector, among others in Ghana and one year on-site in South Africa.

Travel is also my passion in my private life – to date, I have visited more than 60 countries.

My practical experience is underpinned by a degree in languages, economics and cultural studies (focus: Southeast Asia), a scholarship for young professionals to acquire international skills, and numerous training courses on intercultural competence and regional expertise (including South Africa, Japan and the USA).

Would you and your team like to benefit from my passion for intercultural understanding?
